Hi Simon, The trip exceeded our expectations.  The final three days on board were filled with a variety of activities & we were given an opportunity to hop off the train & stretch the legs for short periods at small stops. Attached are a few of my pics.

The Golden Eagle train journey fulfilled and exceeded our expectations!  Thanks for the part you played in organising the pre and post train journey & visa bookings.

The carriage & en-suite were compact, but comfortable.  I slept very well with the rocking of the train, and activities were organised in the bar & dining cars.  The dining car was used as a multi-purpose carriage, for yoga, screening documentaries, and lectures by George Munro, a US History Professor, with a Russian wife.  The bar car was also used for general Q&A sessions, Russian language lessons & afternoon tea

Food was excellent, with several Russian themed dinners, but vegetarian alternatives were available and plenty of fresh fruit, veg & salads.  The staff on board the train in the dining room and carriages were all attentive and first class.   Weather was much hotter than expected but we managed with clothing taken.

NB. From Mongolia four passengers were refused entry back into Russia, at the border, because their travel agent had failed to obtain double-entry visas. Thank you Flower Travel!
